Moscow to take part in EXPO REAL 2016

The Moscow Government is to take part in the 19th EXPO REAL international trade fair for property and investment, which is being held in Munich from 4 to 6 October. Moscow's display is being organised by the Moscow Government Department for External Economic and International Relations (DEEIR).

Moscow's stand at the Messe München GmbH exhibition centre will cover an area of 210 m², and will be thematically divided into interactive, presentation and conference areas, as well as a network area. The opening ceremony for the display is scheduled for 4 October. Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Mikhail Men, DEEIR Deputy Heads Igor Tkach and Anatoly Valetov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Munich Sergey Ganzha, Messe München GmbH Chairman Klaus Dittrich, representatives of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, and other officials are expected to attend.

Participating in this trade fair gives Moscow exhibitors the opportunity to learn more about current issues in Europe's construction sectors, and to talk about priority urban development and real estate projects and programmes being implemented in Moscow. This year, the Russian capital's representatives at EXPO REAL will be able to share their experience of attracting foreign investment and working with foreign partners on implementing joint infrastructure projects in the Moscow region.

EXPO REAL will feature plenary sessions and roundtables, at which the participants will discuss the specific features of new integrated territorial development projects, assess their economic viability, and talk about implementation mechanisms for investment projects. The discussions will look at international practices in using heritage as a basis for a new investment philosophy. A presentation on Moscow's Unified Bank of Projects is expected.

Held in Munich every year since 1998, the international EXPO REAL trade fair brings together representatives of public and municipal authorities, construction firms, architectural bureaus, banks, developers, investors, experts and other real estate and investment professionals from around the world. The trade fair is one of the world's biggest investment forums, and helps to build and strengthen international cooperation in investment and the financial sector. Last year, 37,857 real estate and investment experts and professionals from 74 countries participated in EXPO REAL.
